Weather Risk Management

In 2002, AFMA's then Weather Derivatives Working Group produced the  informative brochure Weather Risk Management. It explains the uses of weather derivatives and provides case studies to illustrate typical deals. Although it was produced some time ago, the products and examples are still relevant.

Property Derivatives Guide

In October 2006 AFMA formed a Property Derivatives Working Group to steer development of this then fast growing market. The educational Property Derivatives Guide was developed for members by the Working Group in June 2007.

Smarter Investing Booklet

The Smarter Investing Booklet was developed by AFMA, the Australian Bankers' Association (ABA) and the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) to provide greater public understanding of investment basics. As Australians grow their wealth and become confident about investing, many more are using structured financial products and other relatively sophisticated investment options. It is important for people to be well informed about the purpose and characteristics of the products available to them.
