14 January 2013 Shadow Banking Risks in Securities Lending and Repos

The submission responds to proposals by the Financial Stability Board to address financial stability risks posed by non-banks through their credit intermediation activities in repo and securities lending markets.  The submission cautions against the imposition of one-size-fits-all rules that cannot accommodate the differences in risks posed by the diverse set of markets across jurisdictions.
