Operations Professionals Program
The Operations Professionals Program is designed for operations professionals who already have some experience and who wish to advance their careers. It provides the detailed knowledge and practical skills that operations practitioners need to undertake their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
Please note: Eligible candidates can upon successful completion of the Operations Core Module for Operations Accredited Status (member organisations only).
Who should enrol?
The program is suitable for individuals:
- Working for AFMA member organisations and seeking industry accreditation
- In the over-the-counter markets seeking formal recognition of their skills and knowledge
- Working in over-the-counter operations and wishing to advance their careers
- Aspiring to work in over-the-counter financial market operations or seeking to increase their knowledge in this area
What will you achieve?
Successfully completing the program means you can achieve the following:
- Diploma of Financial Markets FNS51010, a nationally recognised workplace qualification in finance. You will be entitled to use the post nominal Dip.FM
- Compliance with RG 105 – Licensing: Organisational competence
In addition, the Program meets ASIC’s ongoing training requirements for Australian Financial Services Licensees.
How is the Program structured?
Two modules are completed through a combination of workshop attendance, self-study and assessment. For participants who have relevant experience or previous training, there are a number of alternatives to completing the full public program. Assessment consists of one multiple choice exam for each module and one ePortfolio-based skills assessment that covers both modules.
You must complete:
- The compulsory Operations Core Module; and
- The Treasury Operations Module.
