AFMA Accreditation Program - Diploma qualification update

The AFMA Financial Markets Accreditation Program is based on the Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Markets) FNS51004, a nationally recognised qualification within the Financial Services Training Package FNS04.

In July 2010, the National Quality Council endorsed a new version of the training package, known as FNS10. Consequently the current Diploma used by AFMA will be replaced by the Diploma of Financial Markets FNS51010.

From an AFMA Accreditation Program perspective, there will be no substantive changes to its structure, content and requirements. Candidates will still be required to complete the Financial Markets Core Module and a Product Specialist Module to achieve the Diploma, a requirement for eligibility for AFMA Accredited Individual Status.

However, we are required to close enrolments in the current FNS04 training package (including the current FNS51004 Diploma) by 24 November 2012. AFMA will transition candidates into the new FNS10 Diploma well in advance of that deadline.

If you have any questions regarding the transition arrangements please email education@afma.com.au.
