About this program
If you’re new to Australia’s financial markets or have learned most of what you know ‘on the job’ this entry level program is a great way to gain a fundamental understanding or plug any knowledge gaps when it comes to how our financial markets work. The structure of the program is based on four consecutive modules, each of which builds on what you have learnt in the previous module.
Fundamentals of Financial Markets and Regulation is part of AFMA’s online training suite and has been custom designed for the Australian market. It is presented in plain English, with a user-friendly, interactive interface. The content is based around the fictional character Jimmy, who works in a fruit market. This practical setting makes all the concepts easier to understand – just as seasonal factors affect the supply and pricing of fruit, economic and political factors affect the supply and pricing of financial products.
