About this program
This module examines the National Electricity Market and the range of financial products used - and strategies underpinning them - to manage its unique risks.
What will you learn?
By the end of the module you’ll have a good understanding of:
- the National Electricity Market
- risks in the National Electricity Market
- electricity financial market products
- environmental markets
- providing advice in derivatives.
Workload

- 10-20 hours of suggested self study
- completion of the skills assessment
- the final exam.
Assessment
There are two assessment components for the Electricity Markets Module:
- Exam. This is a 90-minute online exam with 50 MCQ's.

Skills assessment. An evidence-based skills assessment via the ePortfolio system.
What you receive by completing this module
You will be awarded a Statement of Attainment when this module is successfully completed, as partial completion of the Diploma of Financial Markets FNS51011. If you have previously completed the Core Module, you will then be awarded the full Diploma of Financial Markets. Please note that there are pre-requisite units of competency contained within the Core Module that must first be obtained (either with AFMA or another Training Provider) before receiving the Statement of Attainment.
